RedLine Epic Gala Commission

A large-scale installation commission for RedLine's annual fundraising gala

Continuing from a meditation on drawing and line, this installation occupied the entire outdoor patio of RedLine and was commissioned to highlight a transformative experience into the building for guests at the organization’s annual fundraiser gala. Bright red lines made from twist-tie material led guests up the patio entrance ramp through a dense, graphic, tunnel-like structure created by hundreds of red lines crossing overhead. The shape of the tunnel morphed and undulated along this route creating a dynamic entry experience. This installation ushered guests through a transformative threshold as they entered the creative, innovative space of RedLine.
The installation of this work took 4 days, 23 people, and a total of 279 man hours to complete.
